Once again, J.W. Pepper & Son is privileged to sponsor the Junior High/Elementary Division Workshop (JEM) for District 1 on November 1st, 2008. Complimentary choral packets will be available to those that attend. These packets will include music of many different styles. With this being a free session, there is no pre-registration. This session was originally scheduled to begin at a start time of 10:00am. Due to room conflicts, the time had to be changed to 11:00am to 12:15pm.

Event Details:
Sounds Like Love is a three day Christian music festival that helps high school students (grades 9-12) grow their faith through music.
The weekend includes singing, dancing, laughing, worshipping, making new friends and learning about God.
Students spend the weekend learning songs and choreography. The songs represent all genres of Christian music.
The 550 participants come from all over the Midwest. The event also includes a guest artist and concert by that artist. The weekend culminates in two mass choir performances on Sunday afternoon.

Now in its 10th year, Survival Camp is one of the most successful "non-festival" activities within the MSBOA calendar and is recognized nationwide as a model for teacher in-service and the mentoring of music teachers. This year will feature Dr. John Benham, one of our nation's foremost music advocates and a regular contributor to Supportmusic.com. An excellent place to meet, talk and share ideas with experienced teachers from all over the state as well as network with others who are just beginning their career.
