Composer: Kelvin McNeal

Kelvin McNeal is one of the most active and versatile musicians in Santa Fe. He has performed as pianist, coach, accompanist, musical director, and/or conductor with virtually every musical organization in Santa Fe; including Aspen/Santa Fe Ballet, Maria Benitez, College of Santa Fe, Santa Fe Opera, Santa Fe Stages, Santa Fe Pro Musica, Santa Fe New Music, Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival, Serenata de Santa Fe, and Santa Fe Desert Chorale; as well as in San Francisco, Rome, and China.He has written solo piano music, art song cycles, a substantial body of choral music, and a childrens' musical; and collaborated with Oliver Prezant in creating on-the-spot operas for children.His choral composition, “Beneath The Breastbone“ for a cappella chorus and five soprano soloists, was recently selected by Vox Reflexa to be recorded on their debut CD project, due to be released this fall.
