Mr. Lienhart has been an “in the trenches” music teacher in Northern California for 21 years. He has taught beginning band instruments, concert band, jazz band, marching band, choir, general music, and orchestra at all grade levels.As a high school tuba and trombone player, Mr. Lienhart feels very fortunate to have worked with prominent directors and composers like Francis MacBeth, William E. Rhoades, Donald Huntsberger, William Hill, and David Goedecke, in state and county honor bands and Pacific Music Camp. He received a BA in Music in 1986, and a teaching credential in 1991, from California State University, Hayward (now CSU East Bay). He studied with music educators like Denis de Coteau, Marv Nelson, Dan Livesay, Tim Smith, Dave Eshelman, Chuck Isreals, and Frank Sumares.With several concert bands, jazz bands, orchestras, and junior and senior drum and bugle corps, Mr. Lienhart has traveled to and performed in 22 U.S. states, and 9 foreign countries. He currently works in the Travis Unified School District, in Vacaville, California.
