Sing in the New Year with Heather Sorenson!
This special day with Heather Sorenson will begin with a session entitled, "Tapestry of Praise: Songs for All Occasions", and will incorporate the workshop, "I Wish My Choir Were Better."
The next session is called, "Bridging the Gap: Songs from Many Traditions & Styles." After lunch (provided by JW Pepper) there will be a time of worship with Heather and the New Praise Singers.
The day will end with a round table discussion, "You Can Be Heard" and a final session that will include Heathers Favorites, "The Stories Behind the Songs"
Please join us for this full day of worship, resources and fellowship as we Sing in the New Year! Registration begins at 8:30 and the last session will conclude at 4:00pm.
Heather Sorenson
Over the years, Heather Sorenson's journey has led her through a wide spectrum of musical experiences, including music education, children's musical productions, orchestrating, and church music. She is best known, however, as a piano and choral arranger for various publishers, and her works are regularly listed as Editors' Choice selections. Heather also travels as a clinician, leading piano master classes and speaking at various worship conferences held throughout the country. She currently resides in Dallas, Texas where she is Music Associate at Lavon Drive Baptist Church. In her "free time," Heather works with the youth at her church. Mentoring teenagers is her passion - most weekends find her camped out at Starbucks, solving all the world's problems with "her" kids.

Heather Sorenson has a wide range of musical experience, including teaching, producing children's musicals, choral composing, orchestrating, and working with the youth at her church in Dallas, Texas. Her exceptional talent as a pianist, composer and clinician makes her one of the freshest, most exciting voices in the field of church choral music.
