Some History and Background of J.W. Pepper & Son®, Inc.

Many of our customers don't realize just how long Pepper® has been around. Over the last few years, the Pepper® History Committee, under the direction of George B. Class, Jr., has assembled quite a collection of instruments, documents, photographs and information about our company and its origins.

We thought we'd share some of that history with you, as well as provide you with a look at some of the photographs.

Can you help?

  • Do you own or have you ever played an instrument bearing the Pepper® name?
  • Do you know a tidbit of Pepper® history that we might not have heard before?
  • Do you know of historical sources that we may have overlooked?
As part of an ongoing project to explore the history of the Pepper® Company, we invite anyone who has any information to give or comments to make about Pepper®'s history to do so right here!
