DUBLIN, CALIFORNIA — July 25-28, 2010 — J.W. Pepper will be in attendance to support choral music enrichment at the 2010 American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) Summer Conference. The conference will take place July 25-28, 2010 at the Evergreen Conference Center, Oakhurst (ECCO).  This picturesque facility, 40 miles north of Fresno and minutes from Yosemite National Park, provides a peaceful retreat for choral directors looking for inspiration. ACDA describes the atmosphere and tone of the festival as one of "relaxed learning, hands-on experiences, and mutual sharing."

It is in this spirit of advocacy that representatives of J.W. Pepper will personally distribute packets of choral music to all participants as they complete their registration. The packets, comprising over 100 titles of both sacred and secular music, are the subject matter for the conference sessions. Session participants will retain these packets for use in planning their season of performances.

The headlining clinician for this year's conference will be the renowned Rollo Dilworth, Associate Professor of Choral Music Education at Temple University's Boyer School of Music. With over 150 choral works currently in print, Rollo brings knowledge from his experiences as an educator, composer and conductor. In addition to Dilworth's appearance, the conference offers a vast array of other sessions ranging from developing choral tone to tastefully selecting pop music for performance.

ACDA is a national nonprofit organization that is committed to promoting excellence in choral music through performance, composition, publication, research and teaching, and also strives to elevate choral music's position in American society.
