At its recent annual conference, the California Band Directors Association
honored Scott Grady, manager of J.W. Pepper's branch in Fremont, CA, with the
Distinguished Service Award. According to Grady, "It was a great honor to be
recognized at the banquet. They also awarded our Governor, Arnold
Schwarzenegger at the event. He has opened up a lot of funding for music and
the arts in California."
