This collection includes easy to intermediate level pieces for 1 piano, 4 hands by a variety of composers including Beethoven, Brahms, Czerny, Debussy, Faure, Schubert, Stravinsky and many more. Each piece is in its original form. Sonatinas, variations, dances (waltzes, minuets, landler, polkas) are represented.

Basic Library
This series is ideal for beginning students ages 11 and up. Book 1 is a condensed and more mature version of the Primer Level and Level One of the basic Piano Adventures method. Book 1 starts with a few pages of pre-reading tunes and then jumps into reading from the staff. The tunes included in this accelerated version for the older beginner appeal to the adolescent and teen set with folk tunes from around the world, familiar classic arrangements, spirituals, and fun, appealing originals by the authors. Book 1 covers fundamental rhythms (including eighth notes), all the notes of the grand staff, C position, G position, and more.

This series focuses on music theory.

Basic Library
This elementary solo is great for reinforcing the lesson on accidentals, hence the name, Accidental Wizard! It is mysterious and exciting, and it has an optional duet part for the teacher to play along. A "must have" for your early beginner's collection!

Each 9" x 12" Achievement Skill Sheet folds out to 27" x 12", is printed on both sides, and is presented on heavy, durable paper. Achievement Skill Sheets clearly present major and minor 5-finger patterns, scales, arpeggios, and/or chords, and are designed to build essential skills.

Basic Library
Adult Piano Adventures enables the adult beginner to play music for pleasure while developing musical understanding. This book presents the fundamentals of music notation, chord playing, and musical form - all through engaging music chosen specifically for the adult. In fact, within these pages await musical gems such as Over the Rainbow; Fiddler on the Roof; Amazing Grace; Don't Cry for Me, Argentina and Lean On Me. Each unit includes a "3-Minute Technique" page to develop finger dexterity and a "Music Theory" page to develop understanding of rhythm and harmony. Book 2 gives the student experience playing at the early intermediate to intermediate levels. It begins with a comprehensive review of music fundamentals, teaches keyboard harmony using lead sheets with chord accompaniment patterns, and introduces new concepts including ledger lines, major and minor triads, inversions, dotted quarter notes, sixteenth notes, 3/8 and 6/8, and one-octave arpeggios. Basic Library
Alfred's Basic Adult Piano Course is designed for the adult beginner who wishes to quickly learn to play the piano. It is also for adults who prefer a chord approach. It teaches chords for both hands so that the student can play more than single note melodies. Included are familiar songs such as The Entertainer, Scarborough Fair, Greensleeves, and Amazing Grace. Students begin playing from the staff almost immediately with the Level One book, starting in C Major position and progressing to G and middle C positions. They are given the opportunity to expand their range beyond a fifth as they learn sixths, sevenths and octaves. Scales and chords are taught systematically as the keys of C, G, and F Major and C and D Minor are introduced. The student is encouraged to use the accompanying compact discs or General MIDI disks. Playing along with these recordings is not only enjoyable, but is invaluable for reinforcing musical concepts such as rhythm, dynamics and phrasing.
