The title, pronounced as a confused gasp, is an onomatopoeia for the five-beat theme presented by the snare drum following the loud introduction. This theme is elaborated on throughout the middle of the piece. The marimba ostinato serves to preserve the groove and forward motion as the snare drum part becomes increasingly more complex.
