Andantino and March
Rarely is the work of Elgar available for young string players, but here are two very nice selections! String students with just basic skills can perform these two contrasting movements from Elgar's Six Easy Pieces, Opus 22. All sections of the string orchestra have a chance to play both the interesting melodies and lush harmonic accompaniments. While playable by beginners, students with more advanced skills will find this a rewarding piece.
