The Hounds of Spring was composed in 1980 by prolific band composer Alfred Reed. In this concert overture, Reed captures the elements of youthful exuberance and the tenderness of love. Remaining true in form and intent to the original, this setting has been masterfully shortened and adapted for younger bands.
