Symphonic SuiteRichard Brown - Dacker Music
Symphonic Suite is a six-movement composition with a unifying motif that appears in each movement and supplies much of the thematic content that is developed throughout the entire suite. While the 2nd movement conjures up some Bartokian night music, the composition's primary inspiration was Persichett Symphony for Band, and although cast in a very different form, a couple of obvious homages to that work can be noticed in this one. The six movements are 1. Fanfare 2. Nocturne 3. Humoresque 4. Elegy 5. Intermezzo 6. Finale. Grade - 5 Duration 14:00.
