Get your program off the ground! Grabbin' Some Air is an exciting funk chart with catchy melodies and punchy figures that recall the great horn bands. At about 100 bpm, this easy chart features completely flexible instrumentation and is playable by any four horns and rhythm section on up to standard jazz ensemble instrumentation and beyond. Regardless of the selected instrumentation, it will sound full and complete. Young soloists can improvise using only the notes of the concert D natural minor scale with the included transposed scale sheet. Any instrument can solo, and the solo section can be repeated as many times as necessary with backgrounds cued as desired.
