Publisher Desc.  Ormond Overture begins with a 4/4 fanfare and march in the key of E-flat, continues with a contrasting 3/4 lullaby inB-flat, and then concludes by returning to the march and fanfare. The piece was written for the Ormond BeachJunior High (now Middle School) Band under the direction of Walter C. Bailey. However, the melodies wereadopted from songs which Mrs. Shapiro originally made up to sing to her then infant son.
