This delightful (and delicious) set of carol novelties is worthy of performance by any good high school, college or church choir. Taking well-known carol melodies and replacing the texts with clever original poems - as Daniel Gawthrop used to do for family at Christmas time - it's all about the various pies of the season: Pumpkin Pie (God Rest You Merry, Gentlemen); Cherry Pie (We Three Kings); Apple Pie (Good King Wenceslas); Lemon Meringue (O Holy Night); Pecan Pie (O Tannenbaum) and Rhubarb Pie (Deck the Halls). Some can be sung unaccompanied, while others require keyboard. It will be hard to rehearse these without laughing out loud!
