Requiem
Requiem is a major compositional effort from Mark Hayes for mixed voices and orchestra that combines the traditional with 21st century expression. The work is organized in six movements that outline the time-honored Requiem text. Dedicated to the composer's parents, this is a labor of love that looks to the eternal with hope and glorious musical vision. Its Latin texts are appropriate in both concert and worship settings, and with two optional orchestrations, this work is deserving of a cherished place among the finest settings of the mass. Contents: Requiem Aeternam; Kyrie; Dies Irae; Sanctus; Agnus Dei and Lux Aeterna.
