A cappella Publisher Desc.  Setting for unaccompanied women's chorus (SSAA) of the poem by American poet John Brainard (1796 - 1828) first published in 1825 (Poems) and reissued in 1832 (Literary Remains).The choral setting was completed in February 2001 and is dedicated to the composer's mother, Cynthia Turek Bartholomew (1923 - 2010), who taught me to love the rainy days.
