Traditional / Nick Raspa - NJR Music

Publisher Desc. This is a jazz arrangement of the familiar carol which is set for late elementary/early intermediate. The left hand has primarily chordal accompaniment utilizing the I IV V chords and stays in the same basic position except for the last two measures where the left hand drops down one octave. The right hand has primarily thirds and sixths for harmony. The third is bent between E-flat (the blue note) and E-natural and, with the slurred and staccato notes, this song has a nice jazzy flavor. There are a couple of optional grace notes and the song ends with a cool sounding 7th chord.
