Streets of Snow

This setting of the emotionally powerful poem A Winter Night by Sara Teasdale implores all human kind to do all that we can for those who "walk the lamp-lit streets of snow." It juxtaposes the Latin text Ubi Caritas, "Where there is charity and love, God is there" with the Teasdale text "God pity all the homeless ones" to create a moving and challenging piece both musically and emotionally.
