Publisher Desc.  The four elements of nature, according to Greek philosophers, are fire, earth, water, and wind (although Aristotle added a fifth: ether). Other ancient cultures independently came up with similar lists. For example, Chinese philosophy has five elements: earth, fire, water, metal, and wood. Each of the movements of Elements of Nature represent one of the four elements attributed to Plato.
