A Triumphal Procession
A stark fanfare and a warm chorale-like melody combine to create a mood worthy of a royal entrance. It opens with simple, almost primitive fanfare, followed by a stately theme played first by the woodwinds, next by the brass, and then by the whole ensemble. All the while, short fanfare flourishes decorate the chorale theme, concluding with a restatement of the complete opening fanfare.
