As the title suggests, this is a swinger with hints of classic Gene Krupa drum patterns. The tempo is around 200 bpm, there's lots of action for the trombones, written or ad lib solos for trumpet, tenor, trombone, and drums, and a huge shout chorus. Add great dynamics, well-notated rhythm section parts, and options for augmented instrumentations and you have a chart that really delivers. Highly recommended!
