The poem by Pablo Neruda, Sonnet LXIX, from 100 Sonnets of Love, filled with an exquisitely romantic atmosphere, inspired me to write this piece more in the style of a song, than in that of a madrigal, to which I am more accustomed. The song unfolds little by little, just like a rose.
