Paganini Cantabile for Violin and String Orchestra

Paganini is well known for his violin pyrotechnics but he could also write a really good tune. The Cantabile in D Major, Op. 17, MS 109 is all about a good tune. Although the pieces was composed in 1823 it wasn't published until 1922. This is the only piece Paganini composed for violin and piano as he would normally compose for violin and guitar. Here is an arrangement for violin and string orchestra
