This tender melody was originally a choral work entitled All Praise to Thee with text based on a chorale written by Martin Luther and first published in 1524. This wonderfully musical melody has been beautifully reimagined for this outstanding work for wind band. The wide variety of instrumental colors is extremely effective in capturing and enhancing the rich harmonies and haunting melody of the original.
