Featuring a large percussion section, this work evokes the sound and images of the world of steampunk, a science fiction/fantasy genre. After the opening fanfare the music settles into a clock-like groove created by percussion. The main theme travels through instrumental families interspersed with brass outbursts and lyrical woodwind passages, building energy until crashing into a final chaotic cacophony of sound.
