PierrotLarry Lipkis - Larry Lipkis
Publisher Desc. Pierrot is a whimsical portrait of the Commedia clown, Pierrot, written for bassoon, cello, and piano. This trio is an arrangement of my concerto of the same name, which was premiered by the Houston Symphony in 2002. The piece is in three movements: “In the Dancing Master’s Palace,” “The Magic Garden,” and “The Flight to Seventh Heaven.” Each movement is inspired by a work of art that features Pierrot and his fellow Commedia characters.
