Winter Time

The drone of the bells, the whispers from the choir, and the Stevenson text set the mood for winter. The harmonies dance around the central tonality like a cold wind, always returning respectfully to the earth. A lovely piece for the winter concert, this has an a cappella feel while being accompanied by handbells (or chimes, crotales, or tuned bowls if handbells aren't available), along with vocalized sounds that simulate wind and fire.
