Psalm 31: Father, into Your Hands

This Good Friday psalm of lament echoes the scripture, "He was pierced for our offenses, crushed for our sins" and powerfully describes the final moments on the cross. Yet the major mode, flowing accompaniment, and easy singability of the refrain offer a hopeful interpretation of the themes of refuge, trust, and, ultimately, salvation.
