As with daybreak, this piece innocently begins with one melody in unison; then, as in a round, a second melody appears, then a third, and finally blossoming into four parts. A robust piano accompaniment helps to establish the mood and artistry of this work which is easily taught and which produces a dramatic end result in performance.
