An energetic tour de force from start to finish. This piece uses carefully designed eighth-note ostinato patterns and driving percussion to keep the momentum going whether it be a full-on ensemble or a brass or woodwind feature. All instruments have engaging parts that are well written to their strengths. Even the trumpets and horns get to show off a little technical prowess. A perfect choice as an opener or closer.
