Publisher Desc.  This piece is in three contrasting movements. The first uses odd meters and usually avoids emphasizing its meter and utilizes material that revolves around the tritone and half-step. The second movement is slower and is to be played as introspective and perhaps nostalgic. The third movement is to be played almost like a waltz, the bowings are indicated for the first instance of waltz like rhythm and the performer should interpret the other similar motives in the same way.
