Summer Thunder

This excellent original work will sound great at your beginning band's first concert. This piece has all the elements of a mature composition: dynamic contrast, strong melodic writing, and texture as well as rhythmic and harmonic tension - all using just the first six notes of the B-flat scale. The call-and-response sections give a nod to developing ensemble listening skills. An excellent opener!
