My life flows on
Publisher Desc.
'My life flows on', for SATB choir and piano (or strings) is a lively tribute to the traditional song How can I keep from singing', often thought to have been written by Robert Lowry. An imitative scalic duet, firstly between sopranos and altos, and then tenors and basses, leads to a fuller texture in which the imitative material is combined with the traditional song, leading to a happy conclusion welcoming the joy of singing.
The mp3 is of a live performance with strings, and the YouTube link is to a scrolling score with piano
'My life flows on' is a movement from Alan Bullard's cantata Endless Song, for SATB choir and strings (quartet, quintet, or orchestra), or piano (Colne Edition CE76).
