Every Morning Arising

Known as the "Father of the National Parks," the lyricist of this piece is John Muir, an environmentalist who spent his life studying the wonders of nature and advocating for its preservation. This original musical setting creatively expands on the epic nature of the text and brings expressive lines, full harmonies, and a mature and sensitive expression to these nature-themed lyrics. Consider performing this piece in a set with The Mountains Are Calling, another Choplin setting of a nature-themed John Muir text.
