Procession of the Prince

Here comes the prince on a horse! This piece uses just the first six notes learned in most band methods, simple rhythms with repetition, and simple counterpoint while still maintaining a Grade .5 difficulty. It will work with limited instrumentation comprising flute, clarinet, alto saxophone, trumpet, and trombone. Lyrics to the melody aid in learning the eighth-note rhythms. The melody and lyrics are printed on the back of each student part. Correlates with Tradition of Excellence Book 1, page 17.
