6-Note Reindeer

A festive piece for very young bands who have learned their first six notes and are familiar with eighth notes. Based on the well-known Christmas song Up on the Housetop, this arrangement helps introduce eighth-note rhythms in a fun and accessible way. The piece provides opportunities for every instrument to play the melody, except for oboe, tenor saxophone, and horn, due to range limitations at the beginning level. The snare drum part features various eighth-note patterns, adding rhythmic variety. A continuous sleigh bell part is also included, which can be shared by different players if needed. This piece is perfect for a beginning band performance during the winter holidays.
