The Beautiful Araguaney

Inspired by the bright flowering national tree of Venezuela, where this vibrant joropo style of song and dance originates. The natural harmonics played by the violins imitate a characteristic whistle call of the Venezuelan and Colombian plains. Set in A minor with traditional syncopated rhythms, this lilting piece includes optional percussion for an even more authentic sound.
