Evening Prayer

With an English text adapted from Adelheid Wette's "Hansel and Gretel," this warm and serene work for high school or community tenor-bass choirs evokes the peaceful, intimate atmosphere of evening as the children prepare for bed. Alternating between two and four parts, the expressive harmonies support the flowing melody that is further enhanced with the optional string quartet accompaniment.
