The Firebird

Celebrating growth and transformation, this set of three songs traces the journey of the mythical firebird from its quiet longing for freedom to its eventual triumphant flight. You can perform just one movement or all three for a total duration of slightly over nine minutes. Ideal for high school or community treble choirs, it can be accompanied by the included piano and optional percussion parts or by the addition of string quartet or orchestra (both available from the composer).
