Requiem

On the heels of his beloved Magnificat, Taylor Scott Davis returns with this highly anticipated work Requiem. Written for and recorded by Barnaby Smith and the VOCES8 vocal ensemble and orchestra, this six-movement work utilizes inspiration from both sacred and secular idioms. It is a work of both tumult and hope, including a beautiful setting of Siegfried Sassoon's poem Idyll. At approximately 36 minutes in length, and with the full orchestration or chamber orchestration available as accompaniment options, it is an approachable work for school, church, community, or collegiate choirs.
