A spectacular opening for any advanced concert band performance – the entire ensemble can showcase its impressive skills with an initial fanfare that is abruptly interrupted by a pulsating, faster tempo driven by powerful drum beats and rhythms. Then the first four notes of the fanfare resound in numerous variations. Each instrument section has its glorious moment and contributes collectively to the impressive finale. A rewarding technical challenge for advanced collegiate or professional groups.
