Crystal Oscillation

Inspired by a video game crashing during a boss battle, this work for soloist and piano is adaptable for any woodwind instrument. The music reflects the unstable, high‑stakes energy of a game glitching at the most frustrating time. The title refers to a crystal oscillator, an electronic circuit used in systems like the Sega Genesis. This is represented through rapid sixteenth‑note runs, complex rhythms, and escalating technical demands in the solo line.
