Eris

A symphonic tone poem for concert band about the eponymous dwarf planet, the most massive in our solar system. Impressive passages depict the symbolism of Eris' place as the "tenth planet," while calm and soft melodies evoke the vastness of space. The composition ends with atmospheric and powerful sounds. Together with the companion piece Ceres, it forms the composer's "Minor Planets" suite.
