Bright River

Inspired by the sight of sunlight sparkling on moving water, the joyous, expansive melody is woven through the band, allowing developing players to shine. Easy eighth-note patterns rise and fall under a flowing theme that is passed to every section of the ensemble. Based on the E-flat major scale, this uplifting work teaches phrasing, contrasting articulations, and musical independence and will be a pleasant addition to any concert.
