This work of unity and resolve was inspired by the thousands of American flags flying on the National Mall in place of all the people who were unable to attend the U.S. Presidential Inauguration in 2021 due to the pandemic. The image of so many flags standing together without regard for political inclination is a beautiful tribute to the American spirit.
