20th Century Russian Composers

This lesson plan may be used in either band class or general music classes. In band class, it may be used with Themes of Early 20th Century Composers for Band, (available from J.W. Pepper). This plan discusses five Russian composers who had a tremendous impact on the development of music in the 20th century. The plan includes an instruction page, audio examples, vocabulary, an adaptable sample multiple-choice assessment, an answer key, a link to a PowerPoint, and an order of instruction page with national core standards listed.
