3 Short Pieces for 8 "Like Something out of a Dream..."

This trombone octet is made up of three short and very diverse pieces. The first piece is fast, exciting and changes meter often making for an interesting experience for the listener. The second piece is slow and beautiful. Its haunting melody is passed around the ensemble in an almost malicious way. As soon as it seems like the melody is leading somewhere another voice sneaks In and takes over. The final piece is a quick march and the melodies in this tune are ilike something out of a dreami. The melodic content is extracted from moments in the first two pieces but played in an almost over-the-top fashion which makes for a fun and exciting ending.
