Wonder of Christmas

Through a variety of musical styles, Ken Bible and Tom Fettke offer a 59-minute presentation for adult choirs in 10 creatively packaged sections, each highlighting a particular facet of the Christmas story. Following the opener, A Great And Mighty Wonder, the story is explored as one of: A Promise; Faith; A Baby; Love; Light; A King; A Star; Worship and Joy. The format for each section includes a scripture passage introducing the theme and spoken by a narrator or pastor. A fresh carol setting (some with insightful new texts) is then presented followed by dramatic monologue. Wrapping up each package is a choral anthem based on the thematic aspect of the section. These segments make a logical progression when taken as a whole, or they provide useful service material for worship during Advent. The choral settings are based on traditional carols as well as material from Steven Curtis Chapman and Walt Harrah. Extraordinary and heartfelt!
