This freestanding concert duo was drawn from the composer's choral composition titled A Christmas Garland. A Christmas Rhapsody was first arranged by the composer for organ solo. The present arrangement for two harps was also done by the composer. The succession of carols—God Rest Ye Merry, O Come All Ye Faithful, Joy to the World—are presented in an improvisational style and are connected by garlands of sparkles. Accomplished players will welcome the many opportunities for jollity, tender adoration and festive brilliance.
